Project:
To re-design the brand of an existing beer company.
I chose Pyramid Brewery for this project because I felt that with the name, there were a lot of possibilities. Though i kept the logo font and pyramids, I added a lot of other artistic elements to set it apart from the original design.
The background features a tone-on-tone hops (flowers used to flavor beer) pattern to give a little bit of texture to the otherwise empty space. I used a line art illustration of wheat or apricot as a way to show the flavor. Part of the assignment was to have a light beer version which i differentiated by changing the colors to silver/gray.
Project:
To create and design a store brand and sub-brands.
For this project I designed a Maternity store with sub-brands based on different needs and stages of a pregnant person. The logo is a mother bird shape with a baby bird nestled within her using negative space. I chose a serif font to give a high-end feel, along with different pastel colors and patterns for each category.
Project:
Take an existing coffee brand or create a fictional one and design a brand for it.
For this project I decided upon using a unique type of coffee that is well known and sold throughout Indonesia and Malaysia called Kopi Luwak. The reason it is so unique is because the coffee is roasted after being digested and pooped out by the Asian Palm Civet. For the design, I used traditional Indonesian Batik print on the can and a woodcut illustration of the Asian Palm Civet for the label.
